Do you want to keep the kids giggling? Then make up a song with their favorite things in it, add a few funny sounds, and let the kids sing along.

Here’s how to get started. First, ask the kids if they want to hear Auntie sing a very special song. Then, ask them what the song should be about.  You may want to give them direction by giving them choices: Chocolate? Donuts?  Broccoli? Once the kids have chosen, rhyme the word with silly sounds. Or, just add silly sounds to the end of the word. Like “Chocalee, chocali, chocaloo loo loo!” It will keep them laughing for a while!

Once they get started, each child will want to add a subject. Cupcakes, candy, pizza pie! The only real trick? Remembering the song because they’ll ask you to sing it next time you visit!
