Little ones love books. But they don’t necessarily need to own them. So next time you feel like buying them a book, take them to the bookstore yourself and read to them from many books.

From Barnes and Noble to independent booksellers, reading to kids in the children’s book area is often encouraged.  Kids will love choosing the books they want you to read to them.  And they’ll love it when you choose their favorite to take home.  What’s more, whenever you visit, they’ll remember the book you bought them and the wonderful experience you shared, and will probably bring the book to you and ask you to read it to them. Again and again.
