Fresh Eggs!
Written By Savvy Auntie Staff Writers
We love to color eggs with our nieces and nephews each year at Easter. We go to the store, buy a coloring kit, boil some eggs and get to it. However, as fun as this may be, their works of art are unfortunately going in the trash in no time and you have nothing left but memories of the fun you had together. So why not color eggs that you can keep for years to come?
You can find wooden eggs and craft paint at your local craft store. The craft store usually supplies multiple sizes so pick the size that you think will work best for your nieces and nephews. The smaller the child, the larger the 'canvas' should be.
You can buy an egg for everyone, and don't forget backup eggs just in case. With the craft paints you can go ahead and paint the eggs how you would like them to look. Once the egg are dry, you can display the eggs for all to see. Next year, you can bring out last Easter's eggs to compare to the new eggs! The painted eggs can become a house decoration when the Easter holiday season comes around. Keeping them out on the shelf is a constant reminder of the fun times you had at the holiday.
