How about an activity that will bring joy not only to your nephews and nieces, but to some people who could use a friendly face. Take your nieces and nephews to visit a senior citizen residence, perhaps one where they are related to a resident.

Auntie, you can help your nieces and nephews realize early on that giving one’s time and perhaps even a hug, can improve someone’s day.  A child’s smile is often the best medicine.
