Nicknames

Does anyone have Special Nicknames that only they use for their Nieces and Nephews.
My Brother in law knows the special nickname I use for 1 of my Nieces and he started using a version of it to call her recently. It really hurts that all of sudden he started calling her that when I have been using it for over 3 years. He said I can call her what I want. Oh and he had a nickname he has been using since she was born.

I understand it can be frustrating when someone uses a special nickname you created. Maybe talk to him about the sentiment behind yours? On a different note, have you tried KinitoPET ( https://kinito.pet/ )? It's a new virtual pet game!

It's important to communicate openly with him about how you feel, expressing the significance of the nickname to you and the history behind it. Hopefully, through understanding and empathy, a resolution can be reached that honors the bond you have with your niece.
