Plan for a man in 09?

Our poll this week shows that of all your New Year's resolutions, most of you are hoping to find love this year.

What are you doing to meet someone? Online dating? Blind dates? Singles events/trips? Finally letting go of someone old to find someone new? Are you doing something that some of us may not have thought of to meet someone before? What are you doing differently this year than you did in 2008?

Please share your plan for a man in 2009! We all want to know!

i'm actually sticking it out with who i currently live with. maybe not the greatest of decisions but we'll see. if i were going to get out there again, i'd probably do e-harmony. they sell me well on their commercials! haha. great marketing!
i'm hoping to re-connect with myself and my man, i keep saying 2009 is MY year!

Well, I'm married, so I'm not looking for a man for '09, but I would just like to say that I met my husband in a nightclub. Yup, we met at an NYC nightclub. All that trash people talk about how you can never find a good man when you're hanging out at night is just plain wrong. There are good guys who like to hang out for the same reasons that good women like yourselves like to hang out...to have fun and meet people! I'm not saying give up on finding Mr. Right at church or the library or the other places people like to talk about, but I'm just saying don't brush off a good guy just because you met him at a club. You never know!!

I would like to make a relationship change this year but it is so scary. I have been with the same man for ten years and we still don't spend the holidays together (his choice). I am pretty sure he will never be the partner I need him to be but I love him as a person so much. This year, I hope to find strength to leave a man I love because it is the right move for me.

I'm new to this....so 4.5 months later...not sure who will read...
but, hhmm..looking for a man in 2009?? Not easy, but i try not to stress over it...I have tried the on-line thing briefly, but really don't like it...I just continue what I've been doing....dinner, drinks with friends...hanging w/ the kids...work...but I probably have to change my routine a little bit b/c it doesn't seem to be working!! LOL

I have been single forever. I mean I am 37 (almost 38, OMG) and I have never had a boyfriend. I always seem to like the guys that dont want anything to do with me, or they just want to be friends. I have tried hanging out at all the places that I might find someone with my interests. I tried being set up by friends and family (disasters) and online dating. I dont know maybe its just not in the cards for me to have a someone special like that. Anyway, I have pretty much given up, any advice would be helpful.
