Dear Savvy Auntie,

I was talking to my sister the other day and she said that they sent out a Christmas card in which the boys look "silly." I got the card, and they do look silly, but very cute, so I put it up on twitter because I though it was adorable.

Today I got the following from my brother-in-law. Did I do something wrong?

"We send you a Christmas card picture of our kids and Beth tells me that you posted it on the internet with a snide comment – not appreciated. -Mike"

Dear Aunt Twitterer,

OOPS! Seems like "downright" is the BIL hot button. Soooo, in the interest of good family relations (a challenge at this time of year) an apology is in order; along with telling him how adorable the boys are to you. You do raise a very important issue about our new technology. The book of etiquette has not yet been written regarding on line information. What, when, how and about whom to post "stuff" is unchartered territory. It is best to err on the side of safety and privacy; at least until the rules are written (or at least posted).

P.S. Your BIL may not have seen your sister's note to you...shhh.
