Savvy Aunties Are Thankful For…

Written By Savvy Auntie Staff Writers
With Thanksgiving a heartbeat away, we asked the Savvy Auntie "Auntourage" on Facebook to share what they are most grateful for this Thanksgiving season. Here are just some of our favorite responses:
1. Danielle Josephine DeWitt: I'm thankful for Brynn and Isaac. I'm thankful for every single second I get to spend looking at their beautiful faces, whether I'm spending my lunch hour with them, or babysitting them on a Saturday night. There are no two people in this world I'd rather hang out with because they make me smile, laugh, cry (happy, proud auntie tears), and appreciate the little things more than anyone else. #savvyauntie #PANKPower
2. Hope Congdon: I am thankful for my brother coming home from Kuwait. He is in the U.S. Air Force and has been away for six months. He had to miss his middle son's third birthday back in August, miss seeing his little girl walk and talk, and miss seeing his oldest start first grade. He is scheduled to arrive back on Thanksgiving Day! He has a wife, three kids, three sisters, three brother-in-laws and parents that could not be more thankful! We thank all who have served, and we feel very blessed to have our loved one back home!
3. Heidi Siegrist: I love all my neices and nephews, but am particularly close to my youngest nephew, I was there when he made his entrance to the world and held him within five minutes if it, now a rambunctious two year old, we have sleepovers and play dates almost every week. I love how smart he is already!
4. Dayna Rocco: I'm thankful that my parents are still with me; that my four brothers and three sister-in-laws are healthy and that I am the lucky and proud Aunt to five beautiful, smart nieces that I love more than anything. I'm thankful for their unconditional love and admiration.
5. Trisha Ptacek: I'm thankful for my best friend allowing me to be a huge part of my nieces lives. They are my world and bring me so much happiness and for that I'm forever thankful.
6. Magun Perry: I am thankful for my 7-year-old nephew being able to laugh. Having cerebral palsy makes small milestones like laughter huge, and with the new therapies, my boy is laughing in the faces of the doctors that said he never would.
7. Christy Lofton: I am thankful that I am an Auntie before becoming a Mother. I've learned so much from my sister and my nephews and nieces. I also love the relationship I am able to have with them.
8. Tara Miller: I'm thankful for Thanksgivukkah! Looking forward to celebrating both Thanksgiving and Hanukkah with my niece and nephew, all in 1 visit. Plus my nephew's birthday falls that weekend as well, so there will be a whole lot of celebrating happening while I'm up there!
9. Amber Chatreau: I'm thankful to be spending my nephew's first Thanksgiving with him. I can't wait to celebrate and show my gratitude for wonderful year with my family, as well.
10. Jess PlentyHorse: I am thankful my nieces and nephews chase their dreams!
