My nephew really loves my hats.

The first time I made him one, he called me to thank me and was crying because no one has ever made a gift "Just for me!"

He is my nephew by marriage. My sister is his stepmom but she considers him her son. His biological mother told him that I wasn't really his aunt and he said she "made the hats disappear."

So, I sent him more, and I keep sending them. He's had such a tough life, and through it all, he's remained consistently polite, kind, loving, sweet... an all-around-good-boy. He has earned the title of "my favorite nephew" and makes me so proud to be his Auntie.

This is a video of him receiving the hats I made to replace the ones that "disappeared." His joy over something so simple makes my heart smile.



I'm currently making him another hat to send in his favorite color.  It will be one of four or five in a package.
