Teen Gift Ideas? We've Got You Covered, Auntie!

Teenage nieces and nephews can become difficult to buy for when the holidays or their birthdays come around. Gift cards and money are easy, go-to gifts, but they can be boring and not feel as meaningful and fun for us Aunties. The topic of finding ideas beyond gift cards even came up on the Savvy Auntie Facebook Group.
Combine gift cards or money with a themed gift basket to add some present pizzazz. Pinterest has many ideas for teen gift baskets that would be perfect for your nephew or niece. Here are a few ideas to spark creative gift-giving for the teens in your life.
Movie and/or Book Basket. You can buy a variety of movies and books, pick a theme, or a bookstore gift card for them to pick out their own titles. Add in snacks, popcorn, and a cozy blanket to snuggle up in. If your nibling has a favorite author with a new book, check local bookstores to see if they are doing a book signing in your area.

Self-Care Basket. For this basket, pick up nail polishes, nail files and clippers, face scrubs and masks, lotions, and body scrubs. Throw in a favorite treat, a cuddly robe and a fun pair of slippers or fuzzy socks.
Future Chef Basket. If your niece and nephew are interested in cooking, make a basket with an apron, utensils and cookware – depending on what they need, oven mitts, a cookbook, and ingredients for your favorite family recipe. Create a new family tradition together.
Tech Savvy Basket. If your niece and nephew are getting a new smartphone or tablet for the holidays, you can add in some fun accessories and iTunes or Android gift cards.
Soundbot’s beanie has a built-in Bluetooth speaker.
PBTeen has a Power-Up tassel with a USB charger hidden inside that can be added to wallets, backpacks or purses, and you can even get it monogrammed.
College Gift Baskets. If you have a college student in your life, send a care package filled with snacks, games, brain teasers, and other fun things to help your favorite student unwind. You can make your own or send one through a company, such as
Beyond Bookmarks.
The possibilities are endless with gift baskets. If you need more ideas, I made a
