AUNTIE UP! Your Niece's Best Friend Is Moving Far, Far Away!
Written By Savvy Auntie Staff Writers
We asked the Savvy Auntourage on Facebook what they would tell their
5-year-old niece who was sad because her "bestest friend" was moving
far, far away.
AUNTIE UP!
The Savvy Auntourage had so much savvy advice! Read all the comments and add yours, here on the AUNTIE UP! post at Facebook.com/SavvyAuntie!
Jess Gault: You're not
loosing a friend you are gaining a pen
pal. You are going to have so much fun writing letters and drawing
pictures to send to one another to pass the time till you see each other
face to face again. And you can always video
chat.
Jennifer Dutton:
She can be your best far away friend. You can send special things to
each other pictures/notes, talk to each other and (depending on how far
"far far" away really is) maybe see each other on school
breaks.
Natali Wind: I'd
say, "Not to worry, Sweetheart. These days there are many ways of
keeping in touch. Your parents and her parents can set up a Skype call
once every once in a while." And if for some reason you do lose touch,
when you're both older and have social media profiles, you can find each
other again and re-connect."
