Treat Yourself to a Girls’ Night In

Who doesn’t love getting pampered? However, trips to the spa can get pricey and are sometimes difficult to justify. The next time you’re in need of a pamper night, have one at home! Invite your nieces over and have a girls’ night in, complete with pampering and a movie. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Face Masks
Relatively inexpensive face masks can be purchased for at-home use. My personal favorite is LUSH’s fresh face mask in Cupcake. This particular mask was created by the inventor of LUSH Cosmetics with her daughter in mind. The idea was to create a fun, great smelling face mask for a girls night in. This face mask is extremely soothing and smells good enough to eat!
Alternatively, face masks can be made using ingredients commonly found in your kitchen. Savvy Auntie contributor Alexis Wolfer has shared a few recipes for DIY facial masks here.
Manicures/Pedicures
Bring out your nail polishes, nail tools, fun stickers and glitter to create a nail salon in your own home! My current favorite nail color for spring is Essie’s Mint Candy Apple. If you’re feeling brave let your nieces take a turn at painting your nails while you paint theirs in return. Decorate your nails to your satisfaction and admire your one-of-a-kind manicures.
Watch a movie
What better way to end a relaxing evening than snuggling together on the couch and watching a movie? Pop in their favorite movie, pull out some blankets, and perhaps enjoy some snacks that help promote healthy skin.
