Who is a Savvy Auntie?

A Savvy Auntie is one who understands that Aunt-hood, just like parenthood, doesn’t come with an instruction manual, and seeks to discover how to be the most Savvy Auntie she can be and inspire other Aunties in the same way. She’s savvy in every other aspect of her life; now she can be savvy about kids too.

Why Now?

With an estimated 50% of American women not having children of their own, but kids still being front-and-center in their lives, SavvyAuntie.com provides the knowledge and community these women crave to support their Savvy Auntie lifestyle. And with the surplus of online resources for parents, it’s time for a destination dedicated to the other half of the adult female population who have less access to information about how to best love, support and develop kids.

Who Can Join?

Anyone over the age of 13 can join and all you need is a valid email address. Once you join, we encourage you to make lots of friends in order to optimize your experience by sharing and networking.

Finding Friends

You can find friends through the Community, where Aunties connect on various areas of interest in Forums, Groups and Blogs – including the Aunthology. You can also search directly for Friends and invite new Friends to join. Savvy Auntie encourages learning from other Savvy Aunties.

Get the Most

We encourage you to use your voice and experience to empower other Savvy Aunties with knowledge and expertise. Love one of our Gift ideas? Rate it. Have a way to make an Activity more engaging? Comment on it. Want to share your Expertise? Start an Auntiepedia Topic.

Privacy is Important

While sharing is important – you should be able to choose who you share with and when. That’s why you can lock and unlock what you choose to share with all Savvy Aunties, just your Friends, or no one at all. While we encourage you to invite your nieces and nephews to visit your Profile, we don’t want them to have to create a Profile and Join. Instead, simply use the “Send to a Friend” links or copy and paste the URL into an email. When completing your niece and nephew profiles, do not include any contact information.
